His previous academic degrees were in economics and business administration. In his doctoral research, he relied on perspectives from STS and Sustainable Transitions Studies in order to identify energy transitions pathways towards sustainability. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher in projects hosted by the Department of History and Philosophy of Science. Kostas was also a co-teacher and an invited guest in classes of the undergraduate program of the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, and of the graduate program \u201cHistory and Philosophy of Science and Technology, delivering lectures on topics like \u201cSustainability Transitions\u201d, \u201cScience, Technology and the Environment\u201d, \u201cGovernance, Technoscience and Democracy\u201d, and \u201cEnvironment, Knowledge, Toxicities\u201d.
